Canon Rebel T1i

We recently purchased a Canon Rebel T1i camera and managed to take it out for a few sample photos the other evening. It’s our first “real” camera that we’ve purchased. We’ve been using a Canon PowerShot SD750 for several years now and have been very happy with it. For a small camera the SD750 has been fantastic and we’ll continue to use it for those grab and go occasions where you want something you can just stuff in your pocket.

With the baby on the way and due to arrive in the next week or two we really wanted something that we could use to take even better photos. Our initial impressions are that the camera is fantastic. It’s loaded with features, but relatively intuitive to use once you get used to navigating through the options and finding where small features are located. The photo quality is crystal clear and at 15 megapixels they’re incredibly large and really filled with details. Just based on our initial impressions the Rebel T1i is a fantastic camera.

Here are a few photos that I really liked. These are obviously scaled down to fit into a web page, but you can hopefully see the detail and color contrast that the camera picks up.
